Mold Sampling and Analysis

During the course of our inspections, we sometimes encounter visible mold and conditions which are conducive to mold growth. We offer mold sampling and testing services, which will enable us to indicate to you the type of mold present in the house and an evaluation of its potential health risks.

Our sampling services include:

Taking swabs of visible mold growth
Sampling the air inside the home and comparing it to the exterior air
Taking samples of the carpeting inside the house to determine the history of mold inside the residence

The number and types of sampling needed in a particular situation will change from house to house. Trained personnel who have completed courses in mold evaluation and sampling take all of our samples.

The samples are sent to EMSL Laboratories in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for evaluation. The laboratory provides us with a report indicating the types of mold present. We then interpret their report for you and indicate a suggested course of action, if necessary.
