Home Inspections

Gurtler Bros. Consultants, Inc. is an experienced firm committed to providing a thorough and professional home inspection and report prior to the purchase or sale of your home. This is not simply a preprinted checklist; it is a complete, detailed narrative report specifically tailored to your house.

Gurtler Bros. performs inspections in accordance with the rigorous standards of the Louisiana Board of Home Inspectors and of the American Society of Home Inspectors, Inc. (ASHI), the premier national professional organization of home inspectors.

Gurtler Bros. encourages you to be present during your inspection and to ask questions. Items which may need repairs and preventive maintenance will be discussed. The average home inspection lasts approximately two to three hours.

A Gurtler Bros. general/structural inspection includes:

o Complete structural inspection (including a floor level survey)

o Inspection of crawlspace and attics

o Structural evaluation of termite damage as identified by a licensed termite inspector.

o Inspection of all systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing and gutters, insulation and ventilation.

o Interior and exterior assessment.

In order to provide you with a better picture of what we offer we have posted a Sample Report and a Sample Floor Level Survey for your review.
A client may request an inspection that includes all of the above or any part of the above services, as needed.

A separate structural inspection, conforming to most lender requirements, including The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is furnished as part of your inspection or can be requested separately.

A structural inspection can also be requested by itself, so that you can meet your lender's requirements.
